Weekly Updates
Please visit the homepage of this website where I update information on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. It is always a great idea to check back with the website first should you have any questions!
Parent/Child Journal
Your child will be writing to you each week about things they have learned, done, and activities with their friends. They will come home on Fridays along with Friday Folders. Please be sure to write back to your child on the next page over the weekend. They love reading about what you did in second grade and any hopes and dreams you may have for them for this year!
A note from Mrs. Arce (brightly colored half-sheet)
If your child is struggling with an objective we are learning in class I will send home a brightly colored half-sheet of paper with the strategy they need to practice at home. We will also continue to practice this strategy in the classroom.
Speeding Tickets (brightly colored half-sheet)
Speeding tickets will be issued when a child has raced through their work, the work turned in is sloppy, or too many errors were made. The ticket will be stapled to the assignment, sent home in their homework folder, and the child will be asked to redo the assignment. In order to ensure parents are made aware, please sign the ticket and return to school. Thank you for your support at home!
